“Slovakia and Ukraine are neighbors, and good neighborly relations are always in the interests of both countries. Peace is not possible without dialogue. Every normal person wants peace. Therefore, I appreciate dialogue as a way to peace,” added Šutaj Eštok.

At the same time, he also appreciated mutual willingness to cooperate, seek penetrations and help in the restoration of Ukraine. According to the head of the Interior Ministry, such cooperation will bring stability, safety and not only help and support to Ukraine, but also new opportunities for Slovakia.

Slovak Prime Minister and Ukrainian President met on Friday in Uzhgorod. This was the first bilateral meeting of Fico with Zelensky in Ukraine. The Slovak delegation also includes Deputy Prime Minister of the Slovak Republic and Minister of Economy Denisa Saková (Voice-SD) and Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Affairs Juraj Blanár (Smer-SD). The Ukrainian President is accompanied by Prime Minister Julia Syrydenková. Prime Minister Ukraine last visited in October 2024, when a joint meeting of the Slovak and Ukrainian government took place in Uzhhorod.
