The Norway national team is close to re -competing a World Cup after 28 years of absence.

With four wins in four games in Group I of the qualifiers, including one, the team dreams of the 2026 World Cup, which will be headquartered in the United States, Canada and Mexico.

In order not to let anything escape, coach Stale Solbakken placed an unusual request to the Norwegian Football Federation: Training Gandulas to replace the ball faster in the decisive matches.

“It affects the rhythm. If we want to have speed in the game and we can’t find the gandula or the ball, the rhythm falls,” Solbakken told NRK station. The coach quoted the friendly against Finland, won 1-0, as an example of a game in which slowness disrupted the intensity.

“There must be training. I’m serious. It’s a problem, because we can’t lose half a minute here and there,” said the commander.

Norway hosts Moldova, a group’s flashlight, in the next commitment for the qualifiers and hopes to keep the package towards the long -awaited return to the World Cup.
