The actress first commented on the choice of the influencer as her successor at the Post of Battery Queen of the Grande Rio Samba School for the Carnival of 2026. The statement was made during a participation in Videocast Conversa Vai, Conversa comes, presented by Maria Fortuna, aired last Thursday (4). Responsible for occupying the post in recent years, Paolla has recognized the decision of the Duque de Caxias (RJ) association as legitimate and necessary. “Someone was going to have to take over,” he said of commenting on the choice of the new representative. She stressed that Great Rio has a long trajectory and autonomy to make her decisions. “The school has over 30 years of history making its choices. It is not for us to question now.”

During the interview, the actress also spoke briefly about the contact she had with Virginia and highlighted the contrast between her profiles. “It has always been very nice to me at least exchange,” he said, before emphasizing: “We are very different women, this is a fact. We have different values, different thoughts.” Not wanting to feed comparisons, Paolla explained that he avoids making opinions that can be interpreted as rivalry among women.

“I don’t know Virginia, only her public person. And public people are quite different. Any opinion in this context would only serve to feed a ‘FL X Flu’ of female rivalry. Why?” He asked. Despite the differences, the actress wished the influencer in her debut at the Marquis of Sapucaí. “I think she has to shine. What I wish for her, and would want anyone who assumes this post is that she has love, responsibility and dedication to the community, especially women,” he said.

Paolla also took the opportunity to reflect on the symbolism of the position and the connection with the women of the community of Grande Rio. According to her, her trajectory as Queen was marked by the learning and active listening of these women. “Everything I have achieved so far was looking at these women, listening to these women. I always tried to praise the woman as a whole within samba and the liberation possibilities he offers,” he concluded.

Virginia Fonseca was announced as a new drum queen of Grande Rio in late May this year. This will be its official debut on the avenue, assuming one of the most significant posts of Rio Carnival.
