The international agreement on the cooperation of the United States of America and the Slovak Republic in the field of nuclear energy is already completed. At this point, there is only a decision to decide when and how it will officially sign. The Prime Minister confirmed this in the discussion program of the Slovak Radio Saturday Dialogues Robert I am (Smer-SD).
On Friday (5 September), he was informed by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy Denisa Saková (Voice-SD) that the United States had already taken away the agreement. At the moment, it is so finished on the table and is waiting for a signature. The agreement should be the basis for the construction of a new nuclear source in Slovakia, which should be built by the American company Westinghouse.
“We are now just waiting for a decision where and in what format this agreement will be signed officially. The proposal is that the agreement is signed at the highest level. Once a date is and confirmed, you will immediately be informed where and how such a meeting may occur, ” The Prime Minister responded to the question of whether it would be associated with a visit to the White House and meeting with US President Donald Trump.
