The army of Israel has asked on Saturday, 6, that Palestinians in Gaza move to a southern humanitarian area while expanding its operations. Israeli military spokesman Avichay Adraee wrote in X that the Army declared Muwasi-a makeshift camp of tents in the south of the Gaza Strip-as a humanitarian area and urged all residents of the city, classified as Hamas stronghold and combat zone, leaving the site. According to him, the population could travel by car on a designated road.
In a statement, the military released a map showing the area in Khan Youis that the humanitarian zone covers, including the block where the Nasser Hospital is located. The region around the hospital was already considered red zone, although the installation itself was not included. Last week, Israel hit the hospital, killing 22 people. The hospital was not under evacuation order.

The designated secure zone would include campaign hospitals, water pipes, food and tents, and help efforts “will continue continuously in cooperation with the UN and international organizations,” the statement said. The United Nations could not be contacted immediately to comment.
