Unpublished image of the James Webb telescope reveals thousands of newborn stars and the huge nebula of the lobster, offering a detailed look at the Earth’s stellar formation 5,500 years
Thousands of newborn stars shine and dazzle in the latest image captured by NASA’s James Webb space telescope. Disclosure this week, the image offers stunning view of a Star Training Center at 5,500 light years away. A single light year equals 5.8 trillion miles.
In addition to babies stars in a variety of sizes and colors, the photo reveals a cloud of dust and gas forming stars. This cloud – the so -called lobster nebula – is so large that it spreads beyond the camera lens. The newborn star cluster called Pistis 24 is located right inside.
Launched in 2021, James Webb is the largest and most powerful telescope ever sent to space. He observes the universe in the infrared, taking more than five hours to capture this only image.
