PL President Valdemar Costa Neto said on Saturday that the party maintains as a priority of Jair Bolsonaro’s candidacy for the presidency in 2026, although the former president was ineligible for two convictions at the Superior Electoral Court (TSE),
“We have no plan B. Our plan is Bolsonaro candidate,” said Valdemar on his social networks.
The statement occurs in a moment of growing pressure on the governor of São Paulo, Tarcísio de Freitas (Republicans), inherits the estate of the former Mandator. Behind the scenes, Bolsonaro authorized Tarcisio to nationalize topics, in view of the 2026 elections.
