Supreme Federal Court (STF), Alexandre de Moraes, recently countered the various fake news circulating about his person on social networks. Speaking, he criticized the spread of lies and said he was the target of false information involving his alleged connection with the CCP and even the arrest of a sister who, he said, never had.

“Let’s check. Is this really true?”, Warns Moraes/Photo: Reproduction
“For a long time they invented that I was a CCP lawyer. After I won several lawsuits, they came to invent that my sister had been arrested in an operation against the CCP. But I never had a sister,” said the minister, highlighting the breadth of misinformation and the impact she has, even among people who know him.
Alexandre de Moraes also stressed the importance of checking information and education on social networks as a way to combat the discourse of hatred and the spread of false news. “People prepare fake videos, prepare fake news. This quickly passes all the other people and some end up believing it’s true. Let’s check. Is that really true?” He concluded.
