Expecting to overcome the mobilization of governors, the Liberal Party (PL) wants to transform former first lady Michelle Bolsonaro and the governor of São Paulo, Tarcísio de Freitas (Republicans), protagonists of the September 7 demonstration, which takes place on Paulista Avenue, in São Paulo, this Sunday.
The choice occurs at a time when Jair Bolsonaro has been removed from public acts as he has been in prison since early August.
In this context, Michelle has assumed the reins of the family’s political commitments. Tarcisio, in turn, was authorized by the former president to nationalize themes and has touched the articulation of amnesty to those involved in the undemocratic acts of January 8 and in all demonstrations that culminated in the episode.

The presence of the former first lady, however, is still uncertain. According to his advisory, the trip depends on the health status of the former president, who faces Hiccup crises due to the stabbed suffered in the 2018 elections. In a statement released on Friday, Michelle’s team said the confirmation will only be made on Sunday. If you participate, it will be in São Paulo. For the PL, it will be up to Michelle and Tarcisio to occupy this space and give the militancy breath. Both appear today as the main names of the Bolsonarist field for the 2026 election and appear in the latest technically tied Datafolha poll with President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva, although the petista has a numerical advantage.
The act is expected to revolve around two flags: the defense of Bolsonaro’s freedom and the pressure for the approval of an amnesty in Congress.
