Japan Prime Minister Shigeru Ihiba announced his resignation as president of the Democratic Liberal Party (PLD), as reported by the NHK public chain. Ishiba had been very criticized internally, after electoral results that led to the ruling coalition to lose control of the Parliament. Tomorrow Monday was going to produce a training meeting to discuss a possible advance of the primaries, which would have predictably section Ishiba from all their positions.
