After Chinese parade, Japan and South Korea discuss defense

Ministers are in Seoul after a military celebration that displayed full nuclear arsenal and was attended by Kim Jong-un

The defense ministers of Japan and South Korea began a bilateral meeting on Monday (8.Set.2025) in Seoul. The meeting, which will extend for 2 days, occurs after a 10 -year break without direct dialogues between the ministries and days after a military parade in China.

The meeting between General Nakatani, Japanese representative, and South Korean Minister Ahn Gyu-Back was quickly articulated after the event held on Wednesday (3.Set) in China to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the end of World War II.
