The Heathrow Terminal 4 Billing Zone was “Closed and evacuated” due to an “incident” which required the intervention of emergency services, the London airport operator reported Monday. “Please, do not go to terminal 4, our colleagues are attending passengers in the place,” said the operator of the main United Kingdom International Airport, in western London.
The London Fire Department responded to a potentially dangerous incident with unauthorized chemical materialsaccording to a statement from the Fire Service cited by the BBC. “Specialized equipment has been deployed to evaluate the situation and part of the airport has been evacuated as a precautionary measure while firefighters come,” emergency services reported.
Trains cannot stop at this terminal, announced the British railway operator National Rail. “All other terminals operate normally,” emphasized the airport.
