Accident occurred in Fortaleza; motorcycle was driven by a member of the army that was marking

A Brazilian Navy military man was run over by a motorcycle led by an Army member on Sunday (7.Set.2025), during the Independence Day parade on Beira-Mar Avenue in Fortaleza (CE).

Images recorded by people accompanying the event show the moment when the sailor, who held a camera, tries to cross the track and collides with the motorcycle. With the impact, the two military personnel fell to the floor.

The injured were attended by medical teams present at the event and sent for evaluation. Watch the video of the moment of the accident:

In a statement, the army reported that the sailor was “Victim of running over by a motorcyclist who was marking the road”.

The Navy stated that she is providing support to the military and her family members. He also said he had opened procedure to investigate the circumstances of the accident.

“The Brazilian Navy is providing all the necessary support to the military, who is also being accompanied by family members. The 10th RM will investigate the conditions of the incident”reported in a statement.

The parade in Fortaleza was attended by about 10,000 members of the Armed Forces, Ceará security agencies and students from public and private networks.
