Disney decided to expand acting in the digital sports environment and will bet on Youtube. From this Monday (8), all ESPN debate programs will also be broadcast live on the station’s official channel on the video platform, in parallel to the screening TV.
The strategy is a way of competing with independent sports channels that are already successful in the digital environment, such as Cazétv and GE TV. ESPN also intends to win the new slice of public that consumes sports content directly through the mobile or computer.
Prior to the decision of the general debut, the F SHOW program has been screened on Youtube in recent weeks as part of a test. Positive results encouraged the broadcaster to expand the project to the entire debate grid.

What is ESPN programming on YouTube?
Among the attractions that will be displayed on YouTube are the Mundo F, Team F, Pass Line (every edition), Pass Mine (Fridays) and Rose of the Round (Mondays) programs.
In addition to the discussion of debate, ESPN also studies broadcasting live games on Youtube, as happened during the European preseason in August. Although there is no official confirmation of new games, the project is still under review by the station.
ESPN has over 7.2 million subscribers on the official channel.

Reinforcements in ESPN journalists team
As part of digital restructuring, ESPN has also invested in hiring new names in sports journalism. In August, the station announced the arrivals of André Hernan, Bruno Andrade and Felipe Silva.
Hiring were designed to reinforce football coverage in multiple formats, offering exclusive and real -time content on both TV and online environment.
