Moraes opens vote; trial can end until Friday (12.set) with dosimetry of the penalties, in case of conviction
The (Federal Supreme Court) again judged this 3rd (9.Set.2025) the former president (PL) and 7 others accused of trying a coup in 2022. The analysis will resume with the vote of the rapporteur, Minister Alexandre de Moraes, in the 1st class. The trial was initially scheduled for September 9, 10 and 12, but Moraes ordered two extra sessions on Thursday (11.set), from 9am to 12pm and from 14h to 19h. The rapporteur must present a detailed vote, which can occupy the entire session of this Thursday (9.Set). PGR asked conviction

If there is a conviction, the ministers will define the penalty individually, considering the participation of each defendant. The penalties determined against Bolsonaro and the other 7 defendants will only be fulfilled after the final judgment, when there is no more possibility of appeal.
