The minister Flávio Dinodo STF (Federal Supreme Court)filed a formal representation on Tuesday (9) PF (Federal Police) after the significant increase in threats against their physical integrity and that of other members of the Court.
The intimidations began to intensify shortly after other defendants accused of attempted coup.
According to the document, thousands of posts on social networks began to incite lethal attacks against STF ministers and their families, as well as suggest the destruction of the court’s headquarters.
Part of these messages alludes to Nepal, with phrases like “Nepal has shown to all of us Brazilians the way to finish you. Walks, continue with this clowning,” in reference to the wave of violent protests that has taken over the Asian country in recent days.
The representation points out that the attacks go beyond the field of political criticism and configure direct incitement to violence, endangering the security of public authorities and institutional stability.
Dino asks the Federal Police to adopt all appropriate measures to identify the perpetrators of the posts, including the use of digital tracking tools.
The document was attached to the process and is already under analysis by the PF. Investigations are expected to advance quickly, given the severity of the facts and the potential risk to democratic order.
