Search determination meets ‘demonstration reporting the renewed risk of escape’ of the former president, as Alexandre de Moraes wrote
The former first lady said on Tuesday, 9, that her Beetle was searched to check if the former president (PL) would be trying to escape his house arrest. According to Michelle, the episode occurred when it took the vehicle for repair. On Instagram, Michelle shared the vehicle’s photo and mocked the situation. “Do you think that in front of a Beetle, where is the spare tire, it would fit a man of 1.85m? Well, today my fusquinha went to the workshop and we had to open the front just to check out if Jair was hiding there. The way things are, soon ask to check the glove door,” he wrote. The Federal Supreme Court Minister () authorized the monitoring of the entrance of the Bolsonaro House in Brasilia by police.
The determination meets the “demonstration notifying the renewed risk of escape from Jair Messias Bolsonaro”, which made “absolutely necessary and appropriate to the claimed monitoring measures,” as Moraes wrote. Michelle Bolsonaro’s publication was made in the resumption of the former president’s trial by the First Class of the Supreme Court for attempted coup.
So far, ministers Alexandre de Moraes and Flávio Dino have voted for the conviction of Bolsonaro and the other seven defendants. Dino pointed to less participation of former ministers such as Alexandre Ramagem, Augusto Heleno and Paulo Sérgio Nogueira, defending milder penalties. The trial continues on Wednesday, 10, with the vote of Minister Luiz Fux.
