It is a plant whose natural environmental environment is warm countries. He likes warmth, sun and he can easily cope with drought periods. Increasingly, you can meet a garden yuka in Polish gardens. This is due to the fact that its green leaves grow beautifully, and the plant itself is not requiring care. Of course, in garden stores you can come across different varieties of garden yuk, which differ in the color of leaves and the height of clumps. All produce effective white inflorescences. Due to the fact that the summer is coming to an end and in a few weeks frosts will come to Poland, it is worth taking care of your Yuka in the garden to strengthen it and thus prepare for unfriendly weather conditions. How to do it? I asked the gardener from Suwałki, where, as you know, winter is extremely cold. He revealed to me which immunia plants for the winter, but also extends their flowering.

Recipe for fertilizer for garden yuki for autumn

It is important to deliver juce skałdniki such as potassium and phosphorus at the end of summer. They strengthen the roots, improve frost resistance and support leaves. One of the autumn is a composed manure. How to prepare and use it?

Ingredients:

  • Manure: is a source of nitrogen and other nutrients.
  • Carbon rich materials (so -called “brown”): these are e.g. straw, hay, dry leaves, sawdust, crushed branches, cardboard (without colorful prints and foils), newspapers (in small quantities and without colorful prints).
  • Optional: “green” waste: cut grass, residues of vegetables and fruits (without meat and fats), weeds (without seeds).

Fertilizer for garden yucca for autumn. How to make and use it?

  1. At the bottom, put a layer of thicker materials (e.g. branches) for better ventilation.
  2. Arrange the manure of manure and coal -rich materials alternately. You can add a layer of “green” waste.
  3. Wet each layer with water (not too much, the compost should be moist, but not wet).
  4. Mix the compost regularly to ensure air access and even moisture distribution.
  5. Mix compost with soil before planting plants or use it as a mulch around plants.
