Chamber approves PL Urgency for Food Voucher to APP delivery

The House of Representatives approved, on Wednesday (10), an emergency regime application for an project that obliges application companies to grant R $ 20 credit to delivery every four hours uninterrupted or six alternating hours of performance in the provision of the service.

There were 300 votes in favor of 99. authored by the PSOL leader in the House, Talíria Petrone (RJ), the matter says regulating the constitutional article on the right to food.

According to the text, the benefit will be granted by electronic means, from credit directly on the digital delivery platform to which the worker is linked, for exclusive use for the acquisition of food.

According to the opinion of Deputy Daniel Almeida (PCdoB-BA) in the Labor Commission, the vast majority of application delivery would receive around R $ 40 per day of work as a meal voucher.

The proposal prohibits the conversion of the cash benefit and also prohibits the discount of the benefit amount in the delivery man’s remuneration. The Ministry of Labor and Employment is in charge of regulating the law within 90 days of passing.

With the emergency regime, the project enters a procedural rite that accelerates the processing with the dismissal of some requirements, such as deadlines or regimental formalities.
