In the Prešov region it is necessary to count on intensive rain on Thursday. Therefore, the Slovak Hydrometeorological Institute (SHMI) issued the first alerts of the first with preliminary validity until 18.00. Informs about it on his website.

The occurrence of rain with the total rainfall of more than 35 millimeters expects SHMI, especially in the districts of Bardejov, Svidník, Stropkov, Medzilaborce, Humenné and Snina. It assumes that a part of the rainfall will fall during storms. “This total rainfall represents a potential danger to human activities. The expected total and intensity of precipitation is normal at a given time of year and area, but can cause less damage,” added.
