(Bloomberg) – Hyundai Motor Co. Joint Venture battery factory at Georgia, which has been the target of a US immigration operation, are late while the companies involved face workers shortages.
Hyundai CEO, José Muñoz, said in an interview on Thursday that the work will be late in several months.
“This will cause us a delay of at least two to three months, because now all these people want to go back,” he said. “Then you need to see how to fill these vacancies. And mostly these people are not in the US.”

The comments came after an operation at the Battery Factory in Georgia-which the South Korean manufacturer manages in partnership with LG Energy Solution Ltd. The operation impacted the entire industry, as images of the handlers, waist, and ankles tensed diplomatic relations between Seoul and Washington.
LG has stated in a statement that it is “committed to our projects in the US and will continue to deal with the circumstances in order to maintain the necessary investments and businesses.”
The efforts to repact workers are advancing, and the chartered plane that will bring them back should leave the US on Thursday and reach Korea on Friday.

But economic branches may be just beginning.
The operation has released questions about billions of dollars in future investments from Korean companies in the US. Construction has been interrupted in various LG Energy Solution locations in the US, while some Korean employees are reluctant to accept new attributions for fear of being caught in similar operations.
