The municipality of Lagos received this Monday the launch sessions of the Algarve Digital Innovators Community Network (ADI) and the presentation of the Algarve Tech Hub Summit, under the Algarve Empreendo 2026 program. The initiatives took place under the municipal project “Factory of the Entrepreneur” and were attended by community leaders from all over the region.
“The afternoon began with a work session that brought together community leaders in the region, promoting the sharing of ideas and networking, passing through the opening session by Hugo Pereira, mayor of Lagos, Aquiles Marreiros (CCDR Algarve) and Hugo Barros (University of Algarve),” the municipality underlines.
The presentation of the Algarve Tech Hub Summit and the ADI Community Network was in charge of Jessica Costa (Algarve STP), Rita Gonçalves (Anje) and António Guerreiro (Algarve Evolution), who highlighted “the strategic objectives of the network, namely promoting cooperation between communities and stimulating collaborative processes of innovation; PME; reinforce the connection between gym, companies and regional entities;
The closing session was intervention by Sandra Oliveira, councilor of Lagos.
The Algarve Digital Innovators network was born from a partnership between the University of Algarve (Cri), Amal, Algarve STP, Algarve Evolution, Nera, Anje and several key entities of the Regional Innovation Ecosystem. Integrated in the Algarve Empreendo 2026 program, develops structuring initiatives such as the ADI 2030 community development plan with digital node communities and remote workers; Ath Mentors & Investors Network; the entrepreneurship portal; Business acceleration programs and ideas contests; The Intermunicipal Roadshow “Municipalities undertakes”; Participation in international events and the Diversify Algarve program, which values regional strategic rows.
The ADI now advances to a new phase with the preparation of roadshow Intermunicipal, which will take place between September and November 2025, representing a milestone in the reinforcement of the digital innovation ecosystem and projecting the Algarve in the national and international panorama of technological entrepreneurship.
