The Polish President described the drone’s penetration as a Russian NATO reaction test. He highlighted the readiness of the army and the unity of the Allies to ensure peace.
The penetration of drones into the Polish airspace at night on Wednesday called Polish President Karol Nawrocki Russian provocation, which he said was a test of the abilities of Poland and the mechanisms of reaction within NATO. Nawrocki announced this during a Thursday visit to the air base in Poznan, informs Warsaw newsletter TASR.
Nawrocki assured that the Polish aviation was ready to respond to similar threats and that the army has demonstrated its readiness. “Thank you because we have done all these exams,” he said.
Unity in NATO
Nawrocki stressed that his duty as the top commander of the armed forces is to stand by Polish soldiers and ensure that the country and its allies in NATO remain united. “I want to lead Poland and Europe in the future without war, and in order not to come, we must be ready for war every day,” he said. At the same time, he recalled that the Polish nation could not be intimidated in the past by the Soviet army or propaganda and it will not be scaled by Russian drones.
