An entire community lives in a single building that seems to challenge all urban logic, reinventing the concept of home

The venture, located in the Qianjiang district of Hangzhou, China, began as a luxury hotel and has been refurbished to house tens of thousands of people.
Its structure, with about 39 S -shaped floors, offers not only homes, but a complete urban ecosystem, almost without the need to leave the building. It became the largest residential building in the world.
The Regent Park International Center was thought of as Six Stars Hotel, opening there in 2013. The atmosphere has about 5,000 apartments and 206 meters high. He was converted into a residential condominium to support the large concentration of residents who had accumulated.
The upper floors have spacious apartments that offer comfort and open views. Already at the lowest levels, clandestine divisions that turn lofts into small studios without windows.
Residents report the experience of living in the world’s largest building, which houses 30,000 families
Currently, it is estimated that about 20,000 people live in this “small internal world”, in modern apartments with access to supermarkets, schools, health posts, gyms, restaurants, among other varieties.
The Regent Park International Center houses a unique routine, dense, extreme coexistence and a sense of community that goes beyond traditional limits. There residents can live quietly and almost without stepping on the street.
