In the summer of 2023, Amber and James Vigh brought their nine -year -old son into the house when Rauch approached the north. The forest burned in British Columbia and other provinces. This is always an opportunity to get tens of thousands of local people to safety. However, the Vigh family was not affected and believed that it would be spared annoying consequences: the little Carter had asthma, but in the house it would be fine with inhalators and allergy tablets.
