Donald Tusk stressed the readiness of Poland to respond to aggression. In addition to NATO support, it also draws attention to the threat of misinformation spread in the country itself.
Poland will respond uncompromisingly to every attack and the aggressor must be prepared for the consequences. This was stated on Thursday evening after the National Security Council of Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk. He also condemned those who encourage Russian propaganda by spreading the claim that Ukraine is behind the violation of the Polish airspace. Informs Warsaw Newsletter TASR.
“Anyone who decides to attack the Polish territory or airspace in any way must count on an adequate reaction,” the Prime Minister said in response to the shooting down of Russian drones in the Polish airspace. According to him, it was a clear act of aggression by Russia and the goal was not just Poland, but the whole of Europe.
The support has been expressed by several countries
According to him, Poland has received concrete guarantees of support from several states, including France, Great Britain, the Netherlands and Sweden. Patriot air defense systems and other technology were announced. At the same time, he confirmed close cooperation with Ukraine in building effective protection against drones.
At the same time, the Prime Minister warned against the dangers of misinformation and propaganda, which he believes spread not only Russian sources, but also some people in Poland. “We are increasingly identifying those who, for political reasons, for stupidity or because they are traitors, are listening to Russian propaganda,” Tusk said. He also condemned the efforts to attribute the disturbance of the Polish territory by drones to Ukraine and stressed that the responsibility was exclusively Moscow.
According to the Prime Minister, the country has shown the resistance and unity of political forces and the army, which was also appreciated by foreign partners. Tusk expressed the belief that, thanks to the international solidarity and readiness of the Polish armed forces, citizens can feel safe even at the time of tension on the eastern border.
