The case of lawyer Marek Para is closed: The Prosecutor General’s Office rejected the complaint of the damaged spirk

The stopping of the prosecution of lawyer Marek Para, who faced charges for the crime of establishing, raising and supporting a criminal group, became final. Prosecutor General, on behalf of which the prosecutor of the General Prosecutor’s Office acted, On Thursday, he dismissed the complaint of the victim Vasil Špirka against the stopping of the prosecution. This stems from the opinion of the General Prosecutor’s Office (GP) of the Slovak Republic, which TASR was sent by GP spokeswoman Zuzana Drobová.

“After examining the case, the Prosecutor General of the Slovak Republic concluded that the complaint of the injured party is not well founded and the contested order of the Prosecutor of the Regional Prosecutor’s Office was issued in accordance with the law and is substantively correct,” explained Drobová. She added that, by decision, the decision to stop the prosecution was valid and the other proper or extraordinary appeal against it is no longer admissible.

The former National Criminal Agency detained steam in April 2022. It was prosecuted for about a month and a half. However, the Constitutional Court of the Slovak Republic later stated that the decision of the Supreme Court of the Slovak Republic to take the lawyer was unlawful.
