A year after the flood: where Vienna rows up in flood protection

The highlight of the flood in Vienna joined almost exactly a year ago: on September 15th, it was a Sunday, the wild river in Vienna floats faster and faster from an hour. Streets have been flooded, the western exit in the Hütteldorfer Bridge area was temporarily blocked. In the Penzing district, some flooded buildings could only be temporarily reached by boats. Near the U4 station in the Kettenbrückengasse U4 station, water spilled from the Vienna river to the tracks, the construction site for the future U2/U4 double stop Pilgramgasse was devastated.
