With the municipal elections at the door, the Pordata portrayed the Portuguese municipalities in seven themes (population; education; housing; employment and companies; access to services and culture; tourism; and territory and environment). Lisbon is the municipality with the most population, with 575,739 inhabitants recorded in 2024, an increase of 30,569 compared to 2021. Between 2021 and 2024, the Portuguese capital increased the population by 5.6%.
