United States President Donald Trump again argued that the Federal Reserve (Fed, the US Central Bank) should have already resumed the flexibility of interest rates in the country and has also reiterated criticism of US BC President Jerome Powell. The statements were made in an interview on the morning of Friday, 12, to the program Fox & Friendsda Fox News.

“Powell is at least a year late in interest cuts. Imagine how the economy would be even better if he had already started,” said the president of the United States.

Trump argued that inflation in the country is low, praised new stock market records and argued that the economy’s success is related to its tariff policies. “They have corrected injustices, but now they are in the Supreme Court and we have to overcome this case,” he said.

The US president called this as the “most important” process in the US courts at the moment, but avoided commenting directly on how the government could deal with any defeat. “If we lose in the Supreme Court, we will have to return trillions and trillions of dollars. It would be very difficult,” he said, reiterating that he believes to have power as president to control fares of challenges for national security. “We have to keep tariffs to prosper as a country.”

Regarding the fiscal staff, Trump said he is working with Republicans to avoid a government stoppage and approve the provisional measure that proposes to extend the level of federal spending by January 2026. “We will probably be able,” he said.
