President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva said on Thursday that he does not fear new sanctions to Brazil after the conviction of former President Jair Bolsonaro to 27 years in prison, and that he cannot try to guess what will be the reaction of US President Donald Trump.
In an interview with Band television channel, Lula also stated that he is behaving “very carefully and a lot of democratic subtlety”, but that the Brazilian government will adopt reciprocity measures if it believes it is necessary.
