“Everyone has always stressed the same thing: we should not confuse the Armed Forces with members of the Armed Forces who eventually misled,” said Moraes.
“This judgment shows that it is not appeasement with coup d’état that leads to pacification. What leads to pacification is due process of law, public and transparent judgment and application of the Constitution and the laws,” said the minister.
Shortly before, the minister had manifested himself in the similar sense. He greeted the Armed Forces and their commanders. “Obviously, we are judging members, not the institution. Members of the Armed Forces and not the institution,” he said.
