The Federal District Military Police () rescued, this Friday (12/9), 15 that were entered the area of the Papuda Penitentiary Complex.
As shown in the videos below, PMDF’s Environmental Military Police Battalion (BPMA) military man have set up a small task force to rescue the animals.

In addition to the military, the penal police helped rescue and isolation from the area so that no capybara would run away from range. None of the animals was injured.
“Using adequate equipment and safe containment techniques, the team managed to capture the animals without injury,” said BPMA.

According to the corporation, the presence of capybaras in the Papuda complex was at risk for both them and the prison routine. “The rescue action reinforces BPMA’s commitment to the preservation of the fauna and demonstrates the importance of cooperation between security forces,” the battalion closed.
