Two demonstrations in London are underway: one of them will pay tribute to the American activist Charlie Kirk
Thousands of people gathered in downtown London for a march organized by the far-right activist Tommy Robinson, and a counter-protest of anti-racism activists are also underway.
About 1,000 agents were highlighted for the demonstrations, according to the Metropolitan Police, having been placed barriers to create a “tampon zone” between the two groups.
“Today London stands in defense of one of our most vital rights – freedom of expression,” wrote Robinson at X.

The streets were full of union emblems, Cruzes de S. Jorge and Wales’ country flags, as a large multitude of protesters joined near the Waterloo Bridge, before the march “united the kingdom” towards Whitehall. In the posters, it reads slogans, as “stop the boats” and “send us home.” There are also anti-transgender activists and even posters honoring.
Steve Bannon speeches, former US President Donald Trump, and host Katie Hopkins, are expected.
In another location, about 500 people gathered near Russell Square for the counter-protection “March Against Fascism”, organized by Stand Up to Racism (SUTR). Protesters wielded posters where “women against the far right”, “opposition to Tommy Robinson” and “welcome refugees” were read.
The group will also march towards Parliament Square – only a few hundred meters from the Unite The Kingdom demonstration.
