Secretary of Government of (Republicans), the national president of, brought together the federal bench of his party on Friday (12) in Florianópolis, to discuss the themes of interest to the acronym. The amnesty proposal to the agenda did not enter the agenda.
The semiannual meeting was already marked, but coincided with the conviction of (), the day before, 27 years in prison for leading the attempted coup.
Kassab, such as Tarcisio, but faces distrust of pockets engaged in the theme. The distrust is partly due to the fact that three ministers of Lula (PT) are from the PSD: Carlos Fávaro (agriculture), Alexandre Silveira (Minas and Energy) and André de Paula (fishing).
As a party, the PSD argues that the proposal is voted, but leaves the bench free to decide. The caption has 45 federal deputies.
The meeting in Santa Catarina had the governors Eduardo Leite (RS) and Ratinho Jr. (PR), both quoted as potential candidates for the presidency. The governor of Pernambuco, Raquel Lyra (PSD), also participated. Behind the scenes, there are reports that it is considered a vice option on a plate with Tarcisio, for dialogue with the female and northeast electorate.
On the agenda of the meeting, according to Kassab’s advisory, there were themes such as the adoption of the mixed district vote in the elections. The amnesty was not discussed, according to the secretary’s team, because the party’s understanding of the matter is already defined.
Kassab “reaffirms, once again, his position in favor that the theme is based, as well as his solidarity with former President Bolsonaro and his support for amnesty,” says a note sent by his team.
A scholarship of heard under reserve points out that, in practice, this position does not guarantee Tarcisio the vows of the bench in an eventual vote of the amnesty.
For this Bolsonaro ally, the PSD stance differs from União Brasil and progressives, who, in the first week of the trial, announced the departure of the Lula administration and support for the forgiveness proposal that would benefit the former president.
Two weeks after this announcement, however, the members of the two acronyms have not yet left their positions.
Last week, during the final stage of the trial that condemned Bolsonaro, the governor of avoided public appearances. His only commitment was an event on Monday (8), at Fiesp, in which he did not interview.
The retreat occurred after Tarcisio’s speech on Paulista Avenue, in a protest against the trial, when he classified the minister’s acts, rapporteur of the case in the Supreme, as “tyranny.”
Tarcisio is awaited by allies in Brasilia this week for a new round of articulation for the approval of a project that free Bolsonaro from prison.
His only public demonstration after the 27-year sentence to the former president was a text published on social networks, in which he classified penalties as disproportionate and convictions as unfair.
Last week, in an interview with Sheetin Brasilia, Tarcisio’s deputy, Felício Ramuth, also from the PSD, said that on the subject.
