North Korean leader Kim Jong-un said the country will present a policy of joint advancement of nuclear weapons and conventional military power during the next congress of his party, state KCNA media said on Saturday (13).
When inspecting the Arms Research Centers on Thursday (11) and Friday (12), Kim said that “the 9th Congress of the Korea Workers Party will present the policy of simultaneously boosting the construction of conventional nuclear forces in the field of national defense construction,” KCNA said.
Kim also supervised on Friday (12) a shooting exercise from the North Korean Armed Forces and inspected the site of construction of a hospital, KCNA said.
Kim’s flood of household activities takes place for a multilateral event and meetings with leaders such as Chinese President Xi Jinping and Russian President Vladimir Putin, who raised his international profile.
