On Sunday (14 September) it is necessary to count on the whole territory of Slovakia with intense rain. Meteorologists have therefore issued first and second level alerts, in some places with effect from 4.00 to 23.00. The Slovak Hydrometeorological Institute (SHMI) informed about it on its website.

Some districts of the Banská Bystrica, Trenčín, Košice, Prešov and Žilina regions can to torment the occurrence of intense rain with total rainfall more than 50 millimeters. Part of the rainfall may also fall during storms.
According to SHMI, this total rainfall is an increased danger to human activities. “The estimated total and intensity of precipitation is above -average at a given time of year and area, and the likelihood of causing damage is high,” added.
