The oil complex belonging to Bashneft is located on the outskirts of the Russian city of UFA, approximately 1400 kilometers from the front line in Ukraine. The images published on social networks show a drone that approaches the refinery and then explodes, writes AFP.

“Today, the Bashneft plant has been the target of a terrorist attack carried out through unmanned aircraft,” Bashir’s leader Radij Chabirov said on the telegram platform. In his words, one drone hit the business while the other was shot down. “There were no victims or injuries. The production facility suffered minor damage and there was a fire that is currently extinguishing,” added. The attack was entered by the Ukrainian military intelligence GUR.

In 2016, the Kremlin described the Bashneft refinery complex in Ufa as “one of the largest in the country”. He claimed that It produces more than 150 types of petroleum products. Kiev is trying to weaken Moscow’s ability to finance over three years of war by attacks targeting its oil and gas objects, which are key sources for its state budget.
