In the middle of Chiado, in the heart of the capital, an innovative spa was installed where customers can choose from a relaxing bath with the ingredients of beer or wine. The drinks are unlimited during treatment.
It is an absolute novelty in Portugal, the Beer & Wine SPA Lisbona concept that emerged in Chodová Planá, in the Czech Republic, when masters brewers decided to explore the use of beer as the therapeutic element.
The first of this kind of spas dedicated to the drink opened in the twentieth century and has since expanded by several northern and eastern European countries. It was created because their mentors believed that ingredients such as barley, hops and yeast help combat stress, improve skin hydration and even strengthen nails and hair.
O Beer & Wine SPA Lisbon It recently opened in downtown Lisbon, very close to Chiado, and occupies 340 square meters of area, divided between spa zone, with wooden tubs, sauna and a relaxation lounge. Each bathtub is equipped with beer taps, and during treatment, tapas and sushi can even be served, and each can be occupied by two people.
Lee Anderson and Pedro Ruiz, are the two foreign entrepreneurs, who implemented this concept already common in the north and eastern Europe in Portugal.
There are two circuits available to customers, the Basic circuit (€ 54), which includes bathing in the beer or wine tub, mixed with hot water, access to the Spa circuit with sauna and loungebesides, of course, beer or unlimited wine.
O Premium Circuit (€ 79) gives access to all basic circuit features, but allows you to access the full drink card, which includes champagne, whiskey and other options, as well as beers and wines.
