The president of the INSS CPI, Senator Carlos Viana (Somos-MG), said on Sunday that businessman Antonio Carlos Camilo Antunes, known as Bald of the INSS, will go to the commission on Monday. The information was presented after Minister André Mendonça of the Federal Supreme Court (STF) determines that his presence is optional.
“Despite all the decision of the Federal Supreme Court, which allowed the optional, voluntary, the trip of Mr. Antonio Carlos Camilo, the bald, CPMI, we are in contact with the defense of the suspect and he confirmed that he wants to go to CPMI to present the version he has of all this scandal, of all the facts that are being released,” said Viana.
Antunes was arrested by the Federal Police (PF) on Friday, by determination of Mendonça. The arrest warrant occurred after the PF claimed that the businessman was threatening witnesses, hiding heritage in the parking lot of a mall in Brasilia and preparing an escape route for the United States.

In a video released on Sunday, Viana said he expects an “voluntary collaboration” from Antunes.
“We are organizing a great security scheme, along with the Legislative Police and the Federal Police, so that it is received and can speak freely at CPMI and tell Brazilians how it all happened. We expect a voluntary collaboration so that it clearly exposes everything he knows about the INSS scandal.”
Antunes is pointed out as a central operator of the alleged deviation of retirees and pensioners withdrawal scheme. He would be responsible for intermediating relations between fraudulent associations and public servants.
