The governor of Paraná, (PSD), classified as “persecution” to (pl) by and said he is supportive of the ally.
The statement was published on its profile on a social network on the morning of Friday (12).
“Brazil needs to be, and this also involves strengthening our institutions, which must act with balance and guided by the Democratic Rule of Law. The Brazilian people cannot be hostage to dogmas,” wrote Ratinho Junior, who is in 2026.
“By the way, the population is not happy with the persecution of a former president. Brazil needs to turn the page of hatred, delay, fight and write a new time. I am sympathetic to the president and his family,” continued the governor.
The first class of the (Supreme Federal Court) sentenced Bolsonaro on Thursday (11) and seven other defendants for architecting a plan at the end of 2022 to prevent the inauguration of the then-elected president, Lula (PT), and perpetuates himself in power.
The former president was sentenced to 27 years and 3 months in prison for attempted coup. It is the first time in the history of the country that a former president is punished for this crime.
Bolsonaro was also considered guilty by armed criminal organization, abolition of the Democratic Rule of Law, damage qualified to public assets and deterioration of listed heritage.
The last meeting of Ratinho Junior and Bolsonaro took place in April, when in Paraná. At the time, allies said the conversations focused on amnesty those involved in the coup act of January 8, 2023 and the regional alliance between PL and PSD for next year’s election.
So far, Ratinho Junior has not openly defended the amnesty to Bolsonaro himself, unlike other presidential presidentials and the right field, such as the governors of São Paulo (Republicans), Goiás, (União Brasil), and Minas Gerais, Romeu Zema (Novo).
Ratinho approached Bolsonaro in the 2018 dispute and became a faithful ally throughout the management of the former Mandanician in the federal government. He avoided hitting a front even in the COVID-19 pandemic, when Bolsonaro discouraged vaccination and propagated ineffective remedy against the disease.
The governor also did not repudiate acts and lines considered threatening to democracy, such as Bolsonaro’s meeting with ambassadors to spread lies on the electronic ballot boxes in.
