The committee chairman, Senator Carlos Viana, said the presence of Antonio Carlos Camilo Antunes, the ‘Bald of the INSS’, and businessman Maurício Camisotti is ‘fundamental’
The Parliamentary Committee of Inquiry (CPI) of the National Institute of Social Security () will appeal the decision of the Minister of the Supreme Court (STF) André Mendonça, who released Antonio Carlos Camilo Antunes, the “Bald of the INSS”, and businessman Maurício Camisotti to attend the statement in the collegiate.
The president of CPI, Senator Carlos Viana (Somos-MG), said that their presence is “fundamental”. “It is crucial that they will attend so that we can clarify, faster, everything that happened. I respect the decision of the minister, but I consider it unjustifiable to allow them not to testify,” he said.
Both (on Monday, 15) and Camisotti (on Thursday, 18) were scheduled to testify this week. The Federal Police investigation points to the “Bald of the INSS” as one of the main operators of the fraudulent scheme of associative discounts in retirement. Camisotti, in turn, is suspected of being a hidden partner of one of the associations involved in the scheme.
The two were arrested on Friday (12), in a new phase of the operation without discount. Lawyer Nelson Willians’ office has been searching. Operation Cambota meets 13 search and seizure warrants in São Paulo and the Federal District. The operation was authorized by Minister Andre Mendonça.
