STF Minister decided that “INSS Bald” and Maurício Camisotti need not attend; Commission will appeal
Supreme Federal Court Minister André Mendonça determined that Antonio Carlos Camilo Antunes, known as the “Bus Story of the INSS”, and businessman Mauricio Camisotti have no obligation to attend CPMI (Mixed Parliamentary Commission of Inquiry) that investigates frauds at the INSS (National Institute of Social Security).
Commission chairman, Senator Carlos Viana (Somos – MG), said he will appeal with a Supreme Writ of Mandamus to try to reverse the measure.
“It is essential that they will attend so that we can clarify, faster, everything that happened. I respect the minister’s decision, but I find it unjustifiable to allow them not to testify.”said Viana.
The “Bald of the INSS” and Camisotti were arrested by the PF (Federal Police) on Friday (12.Set.2025) on the grounds of risk of escape and hidden assets during investigation into the fraud scheme at the institute.
Antunes was taken to the PF Superintendence in Brasilia. According to investigations, he would have received about R $ 53.58 million associations and intermediate companies in irregular retirement discounts.
Camisotti, according to the PF, would have acted as a hidden partner of an entity and benefited from the social security fraud.
CPMI investigates an improper charges system against retirees and pensioners from 2019 to 2022.
