Mobile phone battery in regional train in Tyrol exploded

Rattenberg – In Rattenberg (Kufstein district), the cell phone battery of a passenger has exploded on Saturday evening in a regional train. The smartphone began to burn shortly before entering the train station. The owner put it on the ground in front of the wagon door and looked for the width after opening the door. The alarmed firefighters carried the cell phone onto the platform with a footstep. Except for a slight contamination, there was no damage to the wagon.
