In combating the growing threats of drone attacks Ukraine is considering limiting the quality of mobile networks. This measure is intended to minimize the efficiency of enemy unmanned aircraft.
Ukraine can deliberately reduce the quality of mobile networks during Russian drone attacks to prevent the misuse of networks in coordination of strokes, said Andrij Hnatov, the Commander of the United Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. According to Reuters report, TASR reports this.
In recent months, Russia has intensified drone attacks on Ukraine, improved its technology and increased the number of unmanned aircraft to maximize damage to the strategic buildings of Ukrainian key infrastructure, writes Reuters.
Will restrict access to the Russians
“It is not about interrupting the mobile connection, but rather a reduction in the quality of communication in certain areas, such as limiting networks of 4G and 5G,” said Hnatov for the Ukrainian portal Novyny Live. “The modems that (Russians) use on their unmanned aircraft would not have access to the Internet of our telecommunications operators,” he added.
According to local media reports, turning off the high -speed mobile Internet makes sense in combating drones equipped with cameras that transmit the image via a 4G connection. Russia has repeatedly ordered the mobile internet to disrupt the Ukrainian drone attacks, recalls Reuters.
