Venezuela president Nicolás Maduro said on Monday that recent incidents between his country and the United States are a US “aggression”, not tensions between the two countries, and that there is no communication between governments.
This month, a US military attack in the Caribbean killed 11 people and sank a Venezuela boat that US President Donald Trump’s government claimed to be carrying illegal narcotics.
The Trump government is trying to justify the launch of a “criminal attack” against the South American country, Maduro said during a press conference, adding that communications with the US had been affected.
