The story may not have done full justice with Richard Reti (1889-1929), a Czechoslovak born in Jewish family hungary, whose favorite city was Vienna. He was one of the creators of the baptized then as a hypermodern school (instead of occupying the center with pawns as soon as possible, it is pressed with pieces, to avoid the weak boxes created by the pawns when they advance), and in addition to contributing important ideas to the openings.
But there is more. Reti was also a distinguished composer of artistic late, such as the two that are discussed in this video. The first of them is very sophisticated, because of the surprise of their key: White is left over material to win. The second, a monument to minimalism, is as well known as beautiful. And it is also very useful for using chess as a transverse tool in a geometry class. Certainly, every fan should know that Reti is an immortal genius.
