The 99 of the Chinese group Didi Global, will double the investments previously foreseen in the food delivery segment from Brazil to $ 2 billion until June next year, said the company’s director general, Simeng Wang, on Monday (15).

Speaking to journalists after a meeting with President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva, in Brasilia, Wang pointed out that the decision to expand the resources invested in the country occurs after the success presented by the pilot projects of the 99food service in the cities of São Paulo and Goiânia.

“We reaffirmed our interest in investing in Brazil. We will invest $ 2 billion in this first year of 99food operation. This means that we are folding our investment in this sector,” said Wang.
