For a change, there is gratifying news for the health of people and the planet: the protective ozone layer of the earth recovers. The ozone hole was smaller in 2024 than in previous years. This emerges from a current report by the World Organization for Meteorology (WMO), which, however, stated that the low ozone mining in the previous year was partly due to natural atmospheric factors that lead to annual fluctuations. However, the long -term positive trend reflects the success of common international measures.
