A week after the Russian disturbance of Poland’s airspace, another one of the eighteenth Russian drone was found. It was discovered by a local resident on Wednesday morning in Stanislawka, almost 40 kilometers from the Ukrainian border.
Another eighteenth drone, which penetrated a week ago into the airspace of Poland during the night attack of the Russian forces on Ukraine, was found in the village of Stanislawka lying in the Lublin Voivodesi almost 40 kilometers from the Polish-Ukrainian border. The drone was captured on a tree in a forest area.
The drone’s finding was reported to the police by the local resident around 11.00 am. The unmanned aircraft was captured on a tree in a forest area.
“The police patrol confirmed the report. The police secured the area. We also warned the District Prosecutor’s Office in Lublin, which is investigating the matter,” said Dorota Krukowská-Bubilová from the Police Directorate in Zamošč.
The prosecutor’s spokeswoman refused to comment on the finding of the drone for TVN24.
Russia claims that drones did not send over Poland intentionally
So far, the Ministry of the Interior has reported 17 drones in five Vojvods: Lublin, Lodzko, Varm-Mazur, Mazov and Saint Kris. Most drones or their fragments – eleven – were found in the Lublin Voivodeship.
On the night from 9 to 10 September during the raid of Russian forces to Ukraine disrupted the Polish airspace of Russian drones. Radars captured at least 19 objects, and those that pose a direct threat shot down Polish and allies. For the first time in the post -war history of Poland, the Polish Air Force used weapons in the airspace of the country.
Russia claims that drones did not intentionally send over Poland. In response to this incident, NATO launched Eastern Sentry (Eastern Guard), which aims to strengthen the protection of the Eastern Wing of NATO.
